Warranties on a new deck, porch or sunroom in Metro Atlanta
There are always two warranties on an outdoor project, and they cover different things. Reading them together tells you what you actually own when the crew leaves.

What our workmanship warranty covers
Our workmanship warranty concerns how the project was built, subject to the terms in your signed contract. Our workmanship warranty is 10 years on PVC, composite and roofed projects, and 5 years on pressure-treated wood work.
Workmanship and material coverage are different. Review the contract terms alongside the chosen product's warranty to understand the coverage and exclusions.
What the manufacturer's warranty covers
Manufacturer warranties on PVC and composite decking range from 25 to 50 years, depending on the product selected. That coverage concerns the material rather than our workmanship, and comes with the manufacturer's care requirements and exclusions.
That is why the exact product line matters. Read the exclusions, the cleaning rules and the claim terms before you compare warranty lengths between two quotes.
Where your warranty terms are recorded
Warranty terms are in your signed contract. You have the warranty as soon as you approve the quote and pay your deposit, not in a separate document handed over at completion. The manufacturer's product coverage is distinct from our workmanship coverage; compare the terms separately.
The same logic runs through the rest of the paperwork: itemized quotes, written change orders, and no surprise charges.
From contract to final walkthrough
- Permits pulled in our own name, and inspections walked with the inspector.
- Quality checked through third-party inspections and code approval.
- After the permit is approved, we'll be able to look at our current workload and start planning a start date.
- Warranty terms are in your signed contract. You have the warranty as soon as you approve the quote and pay your deposit, not in a separate document handed over at completion.
A few questions you may be wondering about.
Do roofed projects carry a longer warranty?
Our workmanship warranty is 10 years on PVC, composite and roofed projects, and 5 years on pressure-treated wood work.
Does the warranty cover wood that weathers or moves?
Wood moving, checking and weathering is the nature of the material, not a defect — keeping a protective finish current is part of owning a wood deck. The workmanship warranty covers the construction: the framing, connections and installation.
Which warranty do I claim against if a board fails?
A material defect goes to the manufacturer's warranty; how the board was installed and fastened goes to ours. Start with the request form and note that it's a warranty question so it reaches the right place.
Do I get the warranty in writing?
Warranty terms are in your signed contract. You have the warranty as soon as you approve the quote and pay your deposit, not in a separate document handed over at completion.
