How long does it take to build a deck in Metro Atlanta?
The honest answer: anyone who gives you a date before the design and permits are settled is guessing. Here is how the process actually unfolds, and what shapes the calendar.

The steps, in order
- Request a consultation online and book a call time. On the call we talk through how you’ll use the space and book a site visit.
- You get a solid quote at the site visit.
- Drawings are prepared as part of the permitting process. Permit fees are included in the cost of your deposit. We file the drawings and handle inspections and variances. You handle your HOA approval; we provide the drawings and project information you need for your application.
- After the permit is approved, we'll be able to look at our current workload and start planning a start date.
- We walk the inspector through the finished project, then you. Your warranty terms are already in your signed contract.
What shapes the calendar
- Design decisions — the more settled your ideas about layout, materials and features, the faster the drawings come together.
- Permits — every city and county handles approvals on its own schedule. We file and manage them; the timeline is theirs to give.
- HOA approval — if your neighborhood has one, that review runs on the association’s calendar, and it is worth starting early.
- Scope — a roof, electrical work, drainage or an addition each add moving parts to coordinate.
How we keep you informed
Start and completion dates cannot be guaranteed; permitting, workload, weather and site conditions can affect the schedule. You have a direct line to an owner throughout every project. Quality is checked through third-party inspections and code approval.
