Less refinishing · More time outside

PVC & Composite Decks in Metro Atlanta

Would you rather enjoy your deck than refinish it? Explore PVC and composite choices, with the structure and details planned together.

PVC & Composite Decks by West GA Decks

PVC or composite — what is the difference?

Both can reduce the refinishing associated with wood, but they are not interchangeable. Compare the exact product, the setting and the complete installed design.

PVC decking

PVC boards use a polymer construction rather than a wood-fiber core. They can be a good option when moisture resistance and lower upkeep are priorities. Product lines differ in texture, finish and installation requirements.

Composite decking

Composite generally combines wood fibers and plastic. Compare the specific board's care instructions, approved uses and warranty rather than treating every composite as the same material.

Color, texture and temperature

View samples outside, next to your siding and railings. Any deck surface can get hot in direct sun; color, exposure and product choice all matter. A showroom sample alone will not tell you how it feels in your yard.

Built around your priorities.

Before the drawings

The details worth thinking through.

Choose the whole system

Boards, fasteners, joist spacing and edge details must work together. The structure is designed around the selected decking, not treated as an afterthought.

Balance the view and the railing

A railing can frame your yard or compete with it. Consider sightlines from inside the house, the drink rail, stair safety and how the finish coordinates with the home.

Separate product and workmanship coverage

A manufacturer's board warranty is different from a contractor's workmanship warranty. Read the exact product's exclusions, care requirements and claim terms before comparing warranty lengths.

A few questions you may be wondering about.

Does low-maintenance mean no maintenance?

No. Plan to clean the surface and keep debris out of gaps and drainage paths. Follow the product's instructions for cleaners, pressure washing, grills and furniture to avoid damage.

Do PVC and composite require a steel frame?

Not necessarily. The frame must meet the project's structural needs and the board manufacturer's requirements. Compare suitable wood, steel and TimberTech aluminum framing options as part of the whole design.

What changes the installed price?

Deck height, stairs, footings, access, railings, framing and the chosen board line all affect it. A price per board or per square foot does not capture every part of a finished deck.

Are we a good fit?

We focus exclusively on new builds — decks, screen rooms and sunrooms — and do not repair or add onto existing structures.

Our projects generally start around $40,000. The layout, materials and site conditions determine the written price.
