Buyer guide · Deck cost
How much does a new deck cost in Metro Atlanta?
It is usually the first question, and the honest answer is: it depends on what you are building. Here is what actually moves the number, what recent projects cost, and how you get a firm price for your home.

Why nobody can quote it from a webpage
Two decks with the same footprint can be very different projects once you account for height, stairs, railings, a roof and what the ground is like where you want to build. Any single price per square foot hides those differences.
Here is what we can tell you plainly: our projects generally start around $40,000. Recent featured builds ran from about $94,000 to $178,000, and simpler uncovered decks cost less than the featured ones.
What actually moves the price
- Size and height — more surface means more structure underneath, and an elevated deck needs footings, stairs and railings.
- Stairs and landings — a walk-out grade is a different job than a long run of steps with landings.
- A roof — covering all or part of the deck adds structure, roofing, gutters and ceiling finishes.
- The surface — wood, PVC and composite boards differ in material cost and in the structure they require.
- Under-deck drainage — turning the space below an elevated deck into dry, usable space is its own system.
- Electrical — fans, lighting, heaters and a television are easiest to plan early and add real function.
- Site conditions — access, slope and grading shape the foundation work.
What recent projects actually cost
Every home is different, but real numbers help more than ranges. These are documented West GA Decks projects:
- A three-seasons addition with a stamped concrete pad in Atlanta — about $94,000.
- A two-level deck with a covered porch and under-deck drainage in Smyrna — $150,000.
- A two-story addition with a four-season room and a new PVC deck in Fayetteville — $178,000.
How you get a number you can plan around
You tell us what you are dreaming of, we book a 15–30 minute phone call, and then we visit, measure and listen to how you want to use the space.
You get a solid quote at the site visit. Drawings are prepared as part of the permitting process. Financing is available if you would rather spread the investment.
A few questions you may be wondering about.
Do you repair or add onto existing decks?
No. We focus exclusively on new builds — decks, screen rooms and sunrooms. If your existing structure needs assessment, a contractor who offers that work is the right call.
Why do we need a site visit for a solid quote?
Because the site decides the structure. Height, access, grading and the connection to your home all change the design — and the price. You get a solid quote at the site visit.
Is financing available?
Yes. Ask about financing during your consultation if you would prefer to spread the investment over time.
